It's not like it's as easy as having a full band with you anytime you want to practice so I thought it would be a good idea to purchase a good guitar jamming machine to practice lead, rhythm playing and song writing. I Have no idea on where to start or which machine to purchase. Does anybody have any ideas on a good jamming machine that has loop effects built in to play the chord progression that I layed down over and over again so I can practice lead, also one that comes with drum tracks and a machine that's loud enough when using my amp where it feels like your really jammin with a band?

Boss BR-1 is a wee digital recorder which will allow ytou to lay down rhythm tracks to jam with, also has drum machine etc built in. The BR900CD is a much bigger version, which has plummetted in price here in Oz.

I have a Tascam, GT-2 CD trainer, which allows you to loop a scetion of a song you want and slow it down with ptich correction. Both my wife and I use it constantly to learn songs. It is typical Tascam quality, but it does the job, and has been in my life for a few years. It is a really valuable tool for learning stuff.
    Music is not a competetion.
