Guitar Pots?

What are guitar pots? I did a search on google and can't find the proper information?

    pot, short for potentiometer

    Your knob turns the potentiometer, hooked up to the pickups inside your pickguard. This is how you get different volume and tone settings, by adjusting the potentiometers that vary voltage.
    If idle hands are the devil's workshop, he must not be very productive.
