Major scale solo techniques?

I've mastered the blues scale/pentatonic scale. Vertically, horizontally, whatnot to the point that people tell me "its good", but I want to move on
For example, the Jane Says solo is obviously just a major scale in the key of G. How does Navarro make it seem much more than that? Anyone got any other examples of songs with great solos just using the major scale?
