Can anyone help me? I'm trying to recreate the effect used for the chorus of do the evolution, the sharp overdrive during the "Admire me..." parts. Does anyone know, or know where I can find out, not just the effects involved, but how they are set?

  • Wah pedal set wherever you desire in around the middle or back heel position.

Nah man, that tone is pure wah. You can play it clean but as long as you have the wah right it will sound essentially the same.

i put a bootleg in at that point, turn it up really loud and pretend i;m playing that bit... sound just like Stone funnily enough
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

yeah if you watch single video theory you can hear stone kick on the wah wah right before he plays that, there are a few stray "wah wah" sounds before he moves it into position and plays the riff......that is one of my favorite things, i love little sloppy moments like that

that version is on youtube and it is the best version EVER.....the sound of every instrument is so clear, godamn it
