What songs can't you get enough of playing at the moment?

Learning anything new?

Me, i'm on a massive Tool kick at the moment. I think the pre chorus riff in “Ticks & Leeches” is right up there with my favorite of all time, along with Cemetery Gates.

I always play Cemetery Gates to get me in the mood if i'm not feeling it. For some reason that always works. The intro just makes you wanna rock.

The heavy breakdown in "Stinkfist" is something I always crank when driving through my neighborhood.

Actually, I'm proud to say this...
I can't get enough of playing my own songs right now. It's a weird feeling to want to play original stuff more than covers. Still, playing Army Reserve, Ledbetter, the riff to Dr. Dre's "Still", riff in "Suga Suga" by Baby Bash, are all ones I find myself playing

PLAYING as in on Guitar, or PLAYING as in on CD/MP3 ?????

Playing on guitar, My Own tunes (I love the last 2-tunes I've written).
Listening-wise, probably a TOOL tune - maybe "The Grudge."

finally bought a capo (can't believe I never owned one) so lately I've just been strumming Two by Ryan Adams on my acoustic. such an easy song to play and sing, but it's so good!
Whoa, chill bro... you know you can't raise your voice like that when the lion's here.

The one I just recently learned, and have been playing a bunch, is "Heartbeats" by Jose Gonzalez. Such a great riff. Alternative tunings, what a joy...

If you haven't heard the tune, check out the Sony Bravia commercial on YouTube featuring the song, it's my favorite piece of video ever.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

Well, that'd probably "Poisoning Pidgeons in the Park" by Tom Lehrer. Can't get enough of it, frickin hilarious. I'm also currently into Springsteen, Incubus, and Neverending White Lights right now. Strange combination. Like putting vinegar in your cupcakes.

I'm trying to improve my fingerpicking techique so mainly stuff like Babe I'm Gonna Leave YOu (Led Zepp) and a few of the easier Elliott Smith songs. I'm determined to write a decent folky song so I need to improve!

since my band and i are on hiatus for a few weeks i have been playing alot of acoustic tunes. probably my two favorites right now are neil young's "needle and the damage done" and bob dylan's "forever young". both are quite easy to play and sing so whenever i am in a bad mood i just play those songs and i feel better for some reason. when i plug in my amp i find myself rocking "black shuck" by the darkness. say what you will about those guys, but that riff through a 1974 marshall superlead is pure rock heaven to me.

I didn't really like it at all (each key change sounded like a record being sped up) - was he using one
of those sliding capos or something. I grew up with folk music (Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie and Arlo
Guthrie, The Chad Mitchell Trio, Richie Havens, Bob Dylan, Peter Paul & Mary, Joan Baez, Cat Stevens)
because my parents listened to A LOT of folk when I was a kid, but that tune just wasn't for me, Sorry.

I'm always a sucker for In Hiding from Yield. It's such a great riff and all the sections are interesting.
Metallica's Orion from MOP is always in rotation too, have just about got it all sussed now, just a few minor phrasing wrinkles to iron out.

I love playing Yellow Ledbetter. I play it pretty much everyday. That song has so much feeling to me and that's the song that originally inspired me to learn to play guitar. I am also always working on Over The Hills and Far Away. Great tune!

Well at the moment, I'm in a 'obscure, relatively unheard of band' phase - I've been playing:

    Whitewater - Kyuss
    Dead Anyway - Kerbdog

...wait, make that just about all Kerbdog ;-)
