I sat about 5 rows in front of Jeff at tonight's Blazers vs Rockets NBA Game in Portland. I let him know how much I liked Tone and that I'll see him the Friday after Thanksgiving at the Green River show in Portland.

He was very cool. I'm pretty sure he was a guest of Brent Barry's who now plays for Houston.

I couldn't believe when I turned around during pregame and he was just sitting there.

Awesome.

  • That's pretty awesome. Sounds similar to me when I was at work and turned around to see Mike McCready standing there after I got off the phone :D

good job you were in front of him... imagine if you were behind him and he was wearing one of his huge hats.. that'd be shit.

i bet he was only there to steal basketballs anyway.
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

Jeff invited Brent Barry to fly up and check out PJ during the '05 CDN tour, and we met Brent in line at the concession stand at the Montreal show, very nice guy,...not too many people recognized him, just a few Americans lined up around us.

Jeff said if the Sonics left he wasn't going to watch the NBA anymore. What a liar!!! Just kidding, I am happy he did not take out his anger for one stupid owner or ownership group, on the whole sport.

  • Awesome, thanks for sharing...

On a related note, the game itself was AMAZING. What a finish.

I watched it last night on tv and jumped outta my chair when Roy made the buzzer beating long distance 3 to win the game. Was gonna post a thread asking if anyone watched it. Now come to find out Jeff was there. Nice.

That's not entirely true. He said that once Brent Barry retires, he will really be done.

Your post is not mentioning anything about how that was probably the best game of the year so far. THAT ENDING WAS RIDICUOOS. Pretty much 3 game winning shots were hit.

That's dope Jeff was there. And you too!

Yeah, my voice is shot today. That was one of the best games I've seen in a long time. The Blazers vs. Spurs game last week was close too with Michael Finley missing the game winner. We'll see how good the Blazers are if Sam Bowie (Greg Oden) ever comes back healthy.
