Hey all.....

What is the best (for the money) looping machine. I was well impressed with Liam Finn's use of it and creativity and would love to use exactly what he had etc......

Also, does the Line6 machine (Pod x3) have that feature??

for the money the Boss RC-2 is ridiculous (its what i have). more for at home stuff, kinda hard to manipulate live (you can always add the extra footpedal though) One pro is the small footprint on your pedalboard. the RC-20 works alot better if you play live. find a good used one (anything under $140 for the RC-2 is pretty good) and practice away

There is a looper made in Texas called the Boomerang. There is a new version coming out soon. The older / current version is super intuitive and user friendly. Takes up a lot of floor space though and doesn't have as much loop time as some other loopers. The Boss RC 50 is about the same size, has a massive amount of loop time, sounds incredible (24 bit) and is nearly crippled by some poor feature implementation (yeah... go ahead and try the speed adjust without pitch shift). It's a very complicated piece with a counter intuitive interface... but (nearly?) worth the hassle because of the great sound quality.
