Can someone explain how it works? Recommend it?

    yes, I recommend it highly.

    it is basically sheet music that is played through your computer. you can slow it down, speed it up, add effects or whatever. you can add drums, bass, more guitars, etc.

    you can also compose your own music or copy music from a tab book into the program.

    I have had it for over a year and have found that most of the Guitar Pro music that you find on, say, ultimate-guitar.com is pretty accurate. seems that people who actually take the time to tab something out in sheet music form are usually more accurate than someone who is just writing abbreviated tab.
