Just wondered about peoples opinion about if singing is counted for playing an instrument?

I heard not everyone things it counts as an instrument to sing.
I know what I think of that. But how about you?

To an extent yes, but I think an instrument is more of a physical extension of yourself and not a part of your normal body.
  • Its an instrument

  • I think singing is harder and requires more natural ability. Maybe that's just cuz i play guitar, bass, and drums, yet i can't sing for shit.

Initially I figured it wasn't, but thinking about it more, I guess your voice box could be considered an instrument.

My guitar instructor refers to the voice as the most powerful instrument

Absolutely, the voice is an instrument.
Conversely, an instrument is a voice.
I always think of "voicing" notes, rather than playing or plucking. Ever wonder why Mike or Kirk Hammet don't sing ?? They don't need to, their guitar is all the voice anyone would need. Mind you , they are both crap vocalists, so it's just as well !! LOL !!
    Music is not a competetion.
