Even Flow Solo Tab Help
Hi, Mike starts his solo with this lick I want to learn. Its from the Barcelona Spain 5-25-2000 show. I can either email you the individual song or you can download from the link below. Im sorry you would have to download to help me, sorry to ask you guys to do that.
2 questions
1) What is the tuning for Even flow? I know Mike plays standard but Ive read interviews where Mike says Stone is in a D tuning? Is that all string one step down? Drop D?
2) How to play this lick? It starts a 2:38-2:46. Right after that Mike does a lick he always uses. If anyone knows that I would appreciate it.

even flows in open D
1st, 2nd and 6th string down whole step
3rd string down half step.
i've sent you a pm that will help you out with how to tune properly in more detail.
sorry i can't help with the solo. i just improvise my friend. make it your own.

He usually starts the solo with a big bend and let it feedback. But this is a pentatonic lick that repeats.
actually he starts a couple of the 2000 tour solos by wailing a lick similar to the Barcelona one.
Another cool thing about this Barcelona Evenflow solo is toward the end when Stone re-enters the fray, he plays a riff similar to the riff in Devil Went Down To Georgia.......the part where "a band of demons joined in and it sounded something like this"
