  • 5 VS 1 already is in the area. We play Philly and just played Somerdale this past weekend. No Code already exists in North Jersey and frequents the area too. Ten is from Pittsburgh and Boston has Backseat Lover. I think there is another from New York too. The North East is kind of saturated already. I never realized how many PJ fans are in the North East. Anyway I will pass the word on if I find anyone. Some of us from the different bands e-mail back and forth once in a while.

Anyway it was hard for us too even find a bar that wanted a 'tribute' act. It is big in Las Vegas, Southern California and New York. But it is just starting to catch on here. Once you get rolling though and you get some word of mouth it seems to go fine.

I wish there was a Soundgarden tribute. Talk about a hard to find singer for that.

  • Hey, I just moved to Philly...what are some of the good music stores around? I'm looking to buy a new acoustic guitar. thanks.
  • I like 8th Street Music at 8th and Arch and Medley Music in Bryn Mawr. For Medley leave the City on Route 30/Lancaster Ave heading towards Villanova. It will be on the right side before you get to Villanova.

Not a bassist or singer (backup singer though) but a lead guitarist and love Pearl Jam. I played in a PJ tribute band 5 years ago in the area called Dissident and I'm currently a lead guitar player in a classic rock band... http://www.cainmusic.com

I recently quit that band after two years of gigging with them but am always open to other opportunities.

Keep me in mind if anything comes up and good luck. I live 30mins west of Philly.
