Just bought one of the new Planet Waves strobe pedal tuner a few days ago. I am very impressed with this unit. Simple to use, much quicker and more accurate than the effects pedal I was using, true bypass, and best of all, groovy swirling pretty lights.
I'm a bit confused though, I am sure it said 9V battery on teh packeage, but I can't find a battery comartment. Never mind, power supply plugs straight in, wiht 9V out if you want to cont a daisy chain.

They are actually very functional pretty lights tho, which is even better. I can't believe I put up with the other piece of crap for so long.

Strobe tuners are the ish. Nothing like being able to see the sound waves so you know it's in tune visually as well as audibly.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I've been using a BOSS TU-2 tuner on my Board for years without fail or any problems (the TU-2 has a strobe function as well, but definitely not as pretty).
The Peterson StroboStomp seemed interesting, but then I used their T590 http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Peterson-T590-AutoStrobe-Tuner?sku=210014 in a studio last week.
Now that was a nice Strobe - what a difference.
    Cheers . . .
