After about 3 months of waiting, lotrs of phone calls, general frustration and one really helpful man at Mesa, my Mesa Mark IIC+ short head finally arrived today. Have had time to plug it in for a quick playonly before the dinner bell went, but haven't managed pics yet.
First impressions are that it is a typical Boogie style of amp, with sensitive controls, lots of balls, and very complex tone.
I played through my ESP KH-2 of course, the Metallica lineage very strong here, but of course Mark Knopfler used something very similar to this for Sultans of Swing, and I could easily hear that that type of tone coming through the neck pup.
Will post pics soon, keen to go back down and plug in some more gits and fiddle with the eq. Nice reverb too, didn't set it deliberatley, was just fiddling with the knob but seems to be a nice setting.

+1... er... too.
Played it through the BAd Cat open 212 cab last night, man that was sweet, a bit more forgiving than the closed 412 with greenbacks.
Have been recording some tracks on the Zoom, might be a couple of weeks until I have something I am willing to share, but I'm getting there.
A single raw track is pretty unforgiving, every single tiny weeny mistake just shows so bad. It makes you improve your playing though, sounding like shit is no fun.
I'm gonna put it through the Lonestar cab tonight, has the Celestion Black Shadows, will be interesting to see what that sounds like.
Anyone got any suggestions on audio hosting, or is myspace the go ?? I think I started a myspace page, but don't have anything on it.
You can upload much larger files here than on MySpace:

Won't get as many listens from the wide world as MySpace but perfect for something like uploading files and posting a link here.
Her are some pics....

one of my very crude pedal board, started life as a homemade stero stand, has morphed into a two storey board on castors so I can move it out to play and tidy it away easy, teh power supplies live downstairs, and teh whammy/wah on teh front porch. There is plenty f room for more stuff yet, I just picked up teh rotosphere today, will move it in tonight, tehn have a house-warming party.
