Pup covers

I'm thinking about getting covers for the humbuckers on my LP. What are the advantages/disadvantages to having them?

    Advantages: Some additional shielding, they look really bitchin'

    Disadvantages: Could change your tone (marginally)

    Pup covers are relatively cheap so if you don't like them it's not a huge loss.
    If idle hands are the devil's workshop, he must not be very productive.

    I put them on my 2001 Les Paul Classic, made no difference in tone and looked great.
