Wireless

All right, I'm thinking of EVENTUALLY getting a wireless system for my guitar. However, I'm worried about how to hook it up. I'm going to use a cord from my pedal board to my amp but I want to go wireless between my board and my guitar. Now, I can hook up the bug on the guitar but how can I hook the receiver up to my pedals? Also, where would I put it, on the board.

If you've spent some time getting a decent sound and getting decent pedals,
something like that will kill your tone, and be more trouble than it's worth for
live performances - it's just a huge joke - No one use those AKG Guitarbugs
Performance-Wise. If you go with AKG you'll want to start with the The AKG
WMS 450. Other makes to start with are the Sennheiser ew172G2, Shure SLX.
If you truly need to go cheap cheap, get the Shure PGX14 (the lowest end).
Mike uses an old analog Sony WRR-820, but you're talking $$$$
Most live acts use a comparable system to the Shure UR14S

Or the Sennheiser 5000 series (like the SK5212), but again we're talking $$$.
I use a Shure PSM 600 for in ear monitors, & sometimes use a ULXP14 for my
guitar, but that completely depends on how large a venue I'm actually playing.
If you spend the $$$ on good instruments, amps, and effects, why get a cheap
wireless that sounds shoddy, breaks quickly, and will cut out on you in mid gig.
Here's a picture of the back of the Shure ULXP14 wireless I use. Take note the
Low-Z/High-Z outputs: http://es.shure.com/stellent/groups/public/@gms_gmi_web_us/documents/web_resource/site_img_us_pro_ULXP4_l.jpg

Do you play on large stages? There's much less signal loss in a 20-30 foot cable than a wireless system. If you are regularly playing on a stage where you are more than 20 feet away from your equipment, you need a wireless.
Are you extremely animated on stage? Do you make Pete Townshend look like a statue? You need a wireless.
If you answered no to both questions, you don't need a wireless. Spend the money on an Evidence Lyric cable. You will thank yourself.

A decent rig should not give you tone loss, otherwise touring pros would not use them.
I'll put it on my Xmas list, right under that nice Carvin strat I saw last week.
I'd be happy with this one

On the rare occasion that one of my guitar players tries to move more than 30' , our guitar tech has to go move pedals and cabling. its pretty funny to watch though!
