Crazy Mary, Indifference, Low Light, Wasted Reprise, and You Are. These are amazing songs for Mr. Boom! Anyone have opinions on this?

    Since you asked:
    I don't think he's very good. He does fine for most of the background stuff PJ has him do, and most of his Crazy Mary stuff is fine with Mike's guitar, but he's definately not anything outstanding.
    Some of his piano work on Benaroya is painful to listen to. Last time they played Bridge, the CM solo he played on Neil's upright was just terrible. He was hitting bum notes left and right.
    I wanna like him too, but he just seems like an amateur in the company of greats.
    Using the word "methinks" in your message board posts doesn't make you look smart.

    i'm a huge Boom fan... i think he has brought a new level of sound to the band...

    I love teh addition of keys to a guitar band, brings a whole new dimension. Gunners is another band that does this well, and eveyone knows how muich JPJ aded to Zep.
    As I've said before, I reckon after 3 albums and 5 years of touring, that they should make him formally part of the band.
    Well, as formally as a bunch of surf bums in flanny's can get anyhoo !
    Music is not a competetion.
