I have a crybaby original and I was wondering how Mike turns his on and off without the 'click' sound through his amp. Is there a trick to it or what?

on live recordings? mostly because there is so much other noise going on, you just can't hear it.

when you're playing full out (and especially with a band) you typically don't hear that tiny-itty-bitty click from the crybaby because it's just soo minute, even at low volumes - it's actually less noticeable than many other on/off from other effects pedals.
