I think mine would have to be the Gibson Casino-vintage Kalamazoo '60's! It was my physics teachers' when he found it in the garage. As much as I don't like playing them, it was probably one of the COOLEST guitars I've played and the best vintage one I've played.

63 Esquire Custom. 3 color burst with binding, resonant and live.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I was in THe Mandolin Brothers store on Staten Island with a friend. (Youthinkyou'reold from here, as a matter of fact.)

We were in New York playing for a Fringe Festival play. One of the goofy things we played was a duet with the two of us and the theme song to "I'd love to be an oscar meyer weiner" if you remember that.

Well I had like a 1930 or so Martin in the store with a $95,000 price tag, and he was on the other side of the room with a $70,000 or so old old Gibson acoustic.
We just looked each other in the eye and counted a one a two a three a four and played our little jazz version of the hot dog song, and everyone in the store was like,,,,, "WTF? That came from nowhere!"

They may not have been the best guitars ever, but it was the best use of way high priced guitars I can think of off the bat. :D

Wow I feel like such an amateur. My dad's 1979 Ibanez SG copy is the most "vintage" guitar I've played, haha.

here's more or less what it looks like:

It's not in that great of condition, the wiring is corroded and the neck paint has a crack in it, probably from being dropped.
