Dream special guests

Pearl Jam have had loads of special musician guests on stage with them - members of the Buzzcocks, Steve Cropper, Dave Grohl, The dude from Death Cab For Cutie, etc. If you could pick one special guest to perform with PJ, who would it be, and which song?

I'd go with Dhani Harrison, and have them do either "It's All Too Much" by the Beatles (my all time favourite Beatles tune) with Dhani on vocals and guitar, or they do "Handle With Care" by the Traveling Wilburys with Dhani singing his Dad's lines and Eddie busting out the Roy Orbison lines.
- Justin

You think the Slayer tour is out, or what?

    if at all.

frampton is truly a master, though i don't think half of the people
at the show even realized who he was nor that he was even onstage.

i'd love to see bowie or reznor share the stage with pearl jam.

    or robert plant. again.
    Nice shirt.
  • Mine is definitely Neil Young, doing any Neil Young song.....Cinnamon Girl would be amazing, but Harvest Moon or RITFW.....so many to choose from.....

id have to see hunger strike with Chris Cornell, seen Chris do it 2x by himself, but gotta get the pj guys in there.

Or i'd love to see PJ with Richard Patrick or Dredg.

Hell I just wanna see any of them again!

How about Neil Finn singing Light Years? That song has always sounded very Crowded House-ish to me.

Frampton Comes Alive was a music staple during my childhood. I get what you mean. It was really cool seeing him up on stage with PJ. I'm figuring it was a once in a lifetime thing, but you never know. Maybe next time they play around Frampton's home he'll come out and jam with them again.

    That gets my vote.
During Cornell's opening set... there's a mini-Soundgarden reunion at the end of his set. Kim and Ben set-up... Matt takes over the kit and closes out his set doing the Soundgarden songs Chris usually does on his tour.
Pearl Jam closes out their set and the first encore is a 'Temple Of The Dog' Reunion where only 'Temple of the Dog' songs are performed. They leave the stage and Pearl Jam colses the set with their own encore.
    ...
Oh, yeah... this only happens in Seattle. And is never repeated... ever.

There is a DVD of the show out there, it's not the best quality though. Give me a few days and I can upload a vid of one of the songs (I'm out of town right now).

If anyone can do so sooner, that would be cool too.

please do! i would appreciate it! what song was it btw?? itd be cool to see pete, mike and matt do their version of black hole sun live... start it off instrumentally... but more soloing and shredding than the studio version... and then chris comes out and starts the vocals as a nice surprise! then close with sweet lew entirely performed through petes talking guitar!
