I think something like this may have been done once before, but a good idea is always worth a repeat performance.
Does anybody have any interest in doing a PJ cover album? I would envision it like this..
We pick an album and then each interested person takes one song from the album and does their own take on it. If we have a lot of interested people, maybe we do more than one album. My first thought on which albums could be tackled would be "No Code" and/or "Ten".
If this comes to fruition... I call dibs on Present Tense.

there once was a website called "synergy songs" that did exactly that.
then giventowail.com once had an archive of all those covers plus some more. just done by fans.
both archives are long gone as far as i know.
recently, there was an attempt to form a virtual band and record separate parts to a bunch of songs. it didn't get past the beer stage.

i spend most of the evening just playing it over and over. so much fun.
It's my "go to" song when I am tooling around and need something to get me going. Great warm-up song.

A large group of us did this and it got no where fast. Between the hectic schedules and the lack of consistant software across the board we never got anywhere.
House and I are recording a bunch of tracks and we will continue!
You are all more then welcome to add drums and bass.
