Second opinion...

I have a bet going and need a second opinion.
The last time PJ was in St. Louis (April '03) they played a blistering version of Black ending with Mike doing a cool trick at the tail of his solo: It's this cool synth-like effect where the note sustains and then bends up reeeealy slowly. I'm not sure if he's done it elsewhere, but I'm thinking he uses a combination of delay and a pitch shifter to get the effect.
Have any of you seen that or have any idea how he does it?
