Elec: a Series 10 whatever that is. it was very 80s with a cracked rock pattern that faded from red to green and a floyd rose tremolo. $120 w/ practice amp.
Acous: An Epiphone 12 string. I have no idea why I bought a 12 string for my first acoustic.
  • NovawindNovawind Posts: 836
First Acoustic: Terrible Piece of Redwood with a hole and nylon strings, got it as a gift. The neck was warped, but it sure as hell built finger strength because the strings were so high.

First Electric: 1979 Ibanez, my dad's old guitar. It's terribly worn, the humbuckers are corroded and the thing doesn't stay in tune anymore. When I left home my dad wanted to keep the thing so I had to get my own MIM strat.

  • 1st bass: POS Sears Harmony, fell apart within 6 months
1st acoustic: Epiphone... I forget the name. I still have it actually. Cost me about $200, so it's not total bottom of the line, but nothing special, either.
1st electric: Epiphone Bully... Basically it's the SG special with a different headstock- plywood with pickups. Still have it, too.

Ibanez acoutic, solid spruce top, 1980, had the head snapped off twice adn needed new tuners and struts re-glueing lst year, but still got it.

Electric, Late sixties Strat, bought 1981ish, never made friends with this guitar, G string pole piece stuck up and sounded so much poude than other strings, couldn't tune it, crappy practice amp with no overdrive, too hard, sold it same year
    Music is not a competetion.

My first guitar was an Gibson SG replica. The brand is called Gherson. Pretty cool guitar. Only natural clear finish. Shadow-pickups.
Sounds really good, but unfortunatly the frets are almost down to the fretboard now.

  • I traded my nintendo and a suitcase full of games to a pawn shop for some cash, went straight to the guitar shop and picked up a samick strat copy (black to green fade) and a peavey rage amp....I believe I was 16 (now 28). My first acoustic was a Yamaha. It was a gift from a boyfriend, which I promptly sold when we broke up so he couldn't ask for it back...ha.

Nice. But it was a gift, so it'd be kind of rude to ask for it back. Hell, if it wasn't, I'd ask an ex-gf for an $800 Tiffany necklace I gave her for Christmas back and buy a guitar in its place.
