Fender Nashville Telecaster

An up and coming jazz/funk band in the Jam scene comes to a bar near my school (East Carolina University) pretty often. I got to talking to the guitarist if he had put the single coil pick up in by himself. He then told me he it was a Nashville Telecaster. I said "Wait... you play a MEXICAN tele?" I couldn't believe he was getting such great tone out of it. I looked up some reviews and whatnot and I like what I'm seeing. I'm thinking about making it my next purchase, but swapping the texas special for a big dipper. Very solid guitar for under $600

Do check out the band as well. The guitarist is sick, but a bit of a Soulive Ripoff. This link has mp3's from one of their full albums

They are great guitars and really versatile. I'm surprised that there aren't more of them, or more of that style. You can get some sweet in between sounds (2 and 4 position) like a Strat with them, too.
