Got the rack for $100 with a Yamaha soprano snare. I didn't really need either but it was a good deal.

Cool set. Wish I had the money to pick up a few more cymbals. I really would love a splash.

Also a cool looking kit. Interesting set up. Again, just makes me wish I had some more money so I could vamp mine up a little bit and buy some new skins for a bunch of my drums.

Yeah man. A splash is the right hit sometimes.

I should take some better pictures. Its a Premier Resonator 6 piece with mostly Paiste Signature cymbals. The china is the most dramatic cymbal hit imo. Big fan of those.

What kind of kit do you have?

I don't remember the exact kit, it's a pretty basic Pearl Kit, I think from the Pearl Export Select Series (Snare, two rack toms, floor tom, and bass drum - all pretty big to get that rock sound). One small/thin Sabian Crash cymbal, and Zildjian hi-hat, ride, and crash/ride cymbal.

After looking at the website, it might be a Session Series SMX or SBX. I can't really remember the details. I'll have to check it out when I go home. Either way, its really a fun set to play.

For an amateur (even one of almost ten years) I love it!

Especially when I have the worst set of all time (some no name piece of crap from teh 70's) as my set in school! At least I have a set in my dorm though... :D

I've had... um... 3 kits. Export was my middle kit.

It gets a good enough sound, it'll stand up to some abuse. Big toms if I recall correctly.

    Keep on playin'!

Yup, the whole thing is pretty big (and loud). If I were to get another set now, I'd probably opt for the whole thing to be a little smaller. But this is one sturdy mofo, and I'm sure I'll have quite a few more years on it.

  • I just like drummers that do well on a simple kit. That's a nice simple kit

  • Sick kit. I got a Pearl export and loving it! Only got 2 sabian symbols and I too would love a splash, just too dam expensive.
