I THINK I'm finished with this one now!!
Added a few more pieces of "graffiti" to the wall:
I put a "mini-setlist" on the spray paint can...
and added a picture of Key Arena too!!
Still not one of my favorite posters, but I think it's at LEAST a little more interesting now!!

can't anyone frame their posters in anything but a plain black frame? come on folks, a little creativity!ShawnZ0

I get what you're saying for sure but personally all my posters are framed simply in black. The art is the only thing you see and the frame just provides a window to see it through. I love looking through this thread and seeing people's creativity which is sometimes amazing but as much as I respect people's different styles I have no interest in framing in large mounts with wristbands, ticket stubs, etc. Also if I decided to give absolute artistic justice to every print I buy I probably couldn't afford the hobby that already drives my wife to despair...SZ303389 said:can't anyone frame their posters in anything but a plain black frame? come on folks, a little creativity!

All of frames are black too. Probably the OCD in me. :-B0

I put ALL of the posters from the shows I've attended in black frames with a black top-matte:
I use color accent mattes under the top matte to pull the poster out from the frames!!
For other posters that I just love for the sheer art, I try to do some interesting frames & matte combinations,
Here are a few of my favorites:
Bon Iver / Santa Barbara
EMEK
Eddie Vedder / Seattle 1 - 2011
MUNK ONE
Eddie Vedder / Seattle 2 - 2011
JEFF SOTO
Coachella 2013
EMEK
REALLY love the frame detail on this one:
Bottom line for me as far as framing your posters is:
It's YOUR poster, do WHAT EVER you like with it...
JUST GET IT OUT OF THE TUBE!!

Looks good, Dave! Reminds me of a wall that has been tagged and plastered by concert handbills, etc. I know I'm in the minority, but I like this poster, skeletons and graffiti are alright by me!derbydave said:I THINK I'm finished with this one now!!

That looks rad! Ours is also in a cheap frame, but without a mat. Maybe we should get a bigger frame and a mat for it too. Thumbs upPlease, Pearl Jam, consider a Benaroya Hall vinyl reissue! http://community.pearljam.com/discussion/148993/please-pearl-jam-consider-a-vinyl-benaroya-hall-re-issue0

oh i know, i hear ya, and if i ever figure out how to post my pics i will. but a perfectly thought out frame has really made these amazing prints of mine really pop. i avoid any matting that only distracts from the art. but as we all know, its all personal taste of course...i'm just sayin', black has been done.veddertown said:

I like black frames as well. I am doing all the same frames, simple black square flat sides, and all black mattes. I am using color core mattes so the only difference will be the accent color on the edge of the matte which I am matching to the print. Some might find it boring but I like them uniform. Also all will have same height well exact the landscape prints so that it will all line up nicely0

Can anyone help me. I've been looking back through a lot of pages in this thread, but without much luck....
I'm looking for a good design for framing 2 posters together. Both Brooklyn posters are in the mail, and I'd love to see some creative designs on how to frame them together, perhaps with the concert tickets, stickers... etc... Has anyone seen anything they thought was really cool?2005: Kitchener / London / Hamilton | 2006: Toronto 1&2 | 2010: Hartford | 2011: Toronto 1&2 / Hamilton

I really want to see double posters or more in frames. I have a crazy idea of putting the Klausen 2010 set into one frame. One black mat and then individual colored mat around each poster, prob expensive, but nice lookingjasonrolfe said:Can anyone help me.
