Here are a few of my other posters I have framed. I did all the framing and matting myself on these though, as some can probably tell lol

This is what I have on my walls. I haven't had any new ones framed for a while, but do I have two more that I'm hoping to get done before the end of this year.

Hey everyone, here's what I have framed around the house right now. Some are shows I attended, and some are just because the artwork speaks to me one way or another. Most of the angles I had to use are brutal because it was hard to get them without much glare/proper lighting, apparently my iPhone doesn't function as well as the fancy commercial says it does
Quick plug for the framer: in case anyone lives in the Rochester NY area, Jon over at The Webster House is absolutely awesome. He's done all kinds of rock memorabilia and is so meticulous with his work. It can be expensive compared to the stuff you buy online from American Frame etc, but in my opinion the price is worth it. They're hard to see because of my shitty photography but a lot of these have reverse bevels, spacers and differing matte widths that he's always completely nailed. I tend to have ideas in mind when I go into his shop but he's got a great eye and can offer excellent opinions as well. He recently convinced me to do the yellow matte on the Klausen LA and I fucking love it! The guy is as cool as his work. Check him out if you're anywhere nearby.

Love the framing jobs on these I must say, cool colours on the matting giving the prints some more pop.

I agree... I love this! So much better than the poster for the PJ show the week before... Ugh. If only it hadn't been U2 for whom they were opening I would have been at this show too! Looks great

I want to get my Borgata framed next and I'm tempted to go with the same setup but add an extra mat that's pink under the black top mat since the poster is black too. It's really messing with my OCD. )

This survived the Summerfest grass seats, but the high school and college years made parts of it look like One-Eyed Willie's map. I should not have waited 19+ years to get it framed, but I am happy with outcome and that I held onto this.

That's awesome. Park City 95 was my first show. I was lucky enough to get this poster a couple of month's ago. It's next on my list to get framed.

I think when you're talking about the memories associated with the poster the condition shouldn't detract from the beauty. Looks awesome!

Picked up these two today. I can't emphasise enough how amazing the Amsterdam print looks framed, over a dozen photos taken and I couldn't get anything that captures the beauty of it. You can't see the skeletal background from every angle and it would still have been a great print without it.
The Hamilton 05 is pretty hard to capture too. Really nice print too and looks good in the simple frame. There aren't any details about the concept of this print that I can find so if anyone has a bit of background about it I'd be really interested to hear about it.

And another one goes on the wall. This was a repair job to a badly scuffed poster and I finally got it in condition for framing recently. Pretty big print!

Picked these two up from the framers today, photos dont do them justice as cannot get the right angle. The matt on the EV Melb poster is made of material which is a dark grey with some white through it. The poster is from EV solo show Night 1 in Melb 2014 with the original setlist and tambourine. The other is the famous NYE gig with Nirvana and the Peppers in 1991 with original ticket and two laminates from that show.
Took me a little while to find this one in near mint condition that wasn't vastly overpriced. Got it in a trade for a super deluxe Live On Ten Legs. Very happy to be looking for a space on the wall for it now... ">

Hey folks - I have a question for you. I have some posters from my sons first shows and want to get them framed, but I don't have the money right now for a custom frame job. Any reccomendations for affordable frame options would be greatly appreciated...

Depends on the size of the print. Americanframe.com is a great site to use for custom framing and it is a fraction of the cost you would spend at a local frame shop to have the same work done. A standard print (18x24) with basic frame, mat, acrylic and foam backing would probably run you around $50-$60 shipped.

Just do be aware...without a proper (And yes...expensive..) framing job you may/may not get acid free mattes and UV glass so you will be exposing your poster to possible damage over time. I KNOW how expensive framing is and that is why I have a LOT of posted in a flat file under my bed. For me it is about doing ti right though so I get one (or two if I am lucky) framed per year. Just my two cents.
My home office, which soon will need to have all the other walls filled with five shows from this year and four from last fall. Right now, it's all Wrigley Field and Chicago '09 Night 1. But I promise ... what I have planned for my Moline poster is going to belong in the Hall of Fame. I can't wait to get going on it.

Hey friends. Sorry to bother everyone w a question that's probably already been answered in this thread but I'd prefer to not sift through 247 pages... Any insight is greatly appreciated.
I have a few posters still in tubes- I've seen some people mention a "flat file". The question is, what's your prefered method of flattening as to not damage the poster. Also, do they need to be pre-flattened before a framer can work with them or if I bring the tube in would a good framer be able to take it from tube to frame?
Thanks for any advice, can't wait to get Amsterdam 2 and Denver up on my wall - I've been truly inspired by how awesome all of your homes look.
You can find a good flat file at Jerry's Artarama. There are a few kinds. The preferred one has Mylar (I think..) sleeves that you can slip the posters in. I bought a cheaper one and what I do in order to protect the posters is wrap them in plain newsprint and then store the posters one on top of the other in the basic portfolio. You can buy plain newsprint at Jerry's Artarama in large pads. As far as taking them to a framer I cannot say for sure but I have to believe that the framer has much easier time if the posters are already laying flat. Plus...it is substantially better for the posters to blue stored flat.
