    take a page from stick control. goto metronome with this:
    rllrrl
    lrrllr
    llrrlr
    rrllrl
    lrlrrl
    rllrlr
    etc.
    divide L-R with tom/snare/hihat combinations.
    Accent strong/weak to establish diff. "grooves"
    Practice unaccented each 30x - no stops-per stick control rules
