anyone else had this problem?

anyone else had their ebow break? mine broke within the first five minutes it was in my house today. i opened the box, and dropped it ON MY BED, and the bottom broke off.
they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go

    oh shit. never heard of that. I dont know much about that instrument though.

    ive had mine for 7 years and its still going strong (after alot of gigs!) i do find that the battery compartment hatch seems a bit stressed and made of rather thin plastic. best advice though is to put tape over the hatch or rubber bands to give it some extra strength.
    I'm not saying stupidity should be a capital offence, but what say we take the safety labels off everything and let nature run it's course?

    turns out it was a defective one anyway. the store i got it from ordered a new one for me so im happy
    they call them fingers, but i never see them fing. oh, there they go

    ya, it was missing one of the grooves on tha bottom that holds the soldered area into place
