Please improve the ticket pick up rules

Why is it a problem for a spouse or relative to pick up the tickets at will call instead of the purchaser as long as you have the proper I.D. required of that person? My wife has a member number and I don't, we plan on traveling to shows this year but if she were to become ill as long as I have her information, birth certificate, passport, and credit card to purchase tickets whats the issue. The scalping still happens anyways as evidence by past ebay posts as well as scalping of ten club tickets after will call pick up given they are distributed usually 4 hours or so before the show. Go back to mailing or flex the rules a little. JMO

Yes, there are some who still manage to scalp tickets... but no reason to make it any easier...

Why don't you ask if your name can be added to your wife's #. Mine has both of ours on it. :)

I don't know, but if both agree I don't see why not. When I joined I just automatically put both our names down. That was in 1993 and how I wish now that I'd gotten us each a membership! lol

Thats why you should both have a membership. That way if one of you does become ill, you can transfer the tickets to the other....problem solved. If someone has their ID stolen...anyone can say they are related to that person under the changes you are proposing.

That would require that your mugger know you pretty well before-hand, know that you are going to a Pearl Jam show, and resemble you greatly in physical appearance.

If all of this turned out to be true, you were probably mugged by a family member. Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

you wouldn't have to resemble anyone. notice what they proposed: that the guy be able to pick up his wife's tickets with her id. you're right about knowing someone was going to a show, though. parking lot slugs that overhear you've got a low number might try to pick your pocket too, i guess, and then say "this is my sister" or whatever....

Only members who ordered can pick up the tickets-reduces the likelihood of scalping and minimizes the administrative work-thats nothing new.

And Im glad they eliminated the transfer rule. If you are not sure that you yourself can attend, dont buy em-leave for a member that can.

because then too many people who are not fan club members will be taking fan club seats. think it about it- I, here in boston, could buy a fan club ticket for a show in california I have no intention of going to and manage to get an ID to a friend who could use it. I am in the same boat as you are with my brother- his name is on the "good" membership (due to stupidity on my part). we share basically and go to all the shows together, but if he can't go for some reason I'm screwed.

I had no idea you could do that either. makes me wonder if I should do that and ditch my number. we always just give those tickets away to friends.
