Small Town on Guitar.

Does anyone know the strumming pattern in Small Town (Verse)? Somebody told me that is

down, down, up, down, up, down. but that doesnt sound right to me.

    I'm not sure, but I did just make a fool out of myself trying to figure it out air-strumming in class. Damn special brownies
