"Heart of Gold" Neil Young
"Good Riddance" Green Day
turn Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" into an acoustic song and it does good
"Tears in Heaven" Clapton
the acoustic parts of Metallica's "Unforgiven" and "Fade to Black"
"Life by the Drop" SRV
"Don't Follow" and "Brother" by Alice in Chains
"Rockin in the Free World" or "Hey Hey My My" by Neil Young
all those songs are pretty easy
I can't really think of any PJ acoustic songs that I like, but there are plenty of their songs that translate well from electric to acoustic
modest mouse - styrofoam boots (2 chords)
collective soul - december (good practice for arpeggios)
pearl jam - elderly woman (first song i could ever sing along to)
pearl jam - driftin' (it's tuned down a half step on every string though)
weezer - island in the sun
blind melon - mouthful of cavities (it only SOUNDS intimidating)
neutral milk hotel - in the aeroplane over the sea (G, Em, C, D)
nirvana - polly
wind howls through our new haircuts
the water rushes 'round
heaven knows there's not one thing left to say
Helpless- Neil Young (three easy chords)
Pearl Jam- (some of these might not be so easy at first but none of them aren't worth working through. Some are electric on the record but sound great solo acoustic)
Off He Goes
Of The Girl
Parting Ways
Lowlight
Long Road
Thumbing My Way
Using the word "methinks" in your message board posts doesn't make you look smart.
Pearl Jam-Elderly Woman but Indifference is the EASIEST!!!!
Nirvana-Come As You Are and Something in the Way
Green Day-Good Riddence(I spelled that wrong)
Incubus-Drive
Wayne Chochran-Last Kiss
Neil Young-Rockin' in the Free World
Grand Rapids '04, Detroit '06
JEFF HARDY AND JEFF AMENT USED TO LOOK THE SAME
"Pearl Jam always eases my mind and fires me up at the same time.”-Jeff Hardy
Wonderwall - Oasis
Layla Unplugged - Clapton
About A Girl - Nirvana

The intro picking to Bron - yr - Aur Stomp is actually pretty technical and in an open tuning... All those slides and hybrid picking... I suppose the verse chords are easy, just barred, but still not quite an easy tune if you ask me! (if you want to get it right that is!) lol

Ooooooooops, silly me, I was on a mission to think of good acoustic songs and missed the "easy" part. You are right, it's not easy.
I need to have a crack at that some time.
It's taking the time to do the damn open tuning that slows me down. I have the tab box set for the first 5 albums, so there is no excuse about not having the right music.
Tangerine is a pretty easy and nice Zeppelin acoustic song which is in standard tuning...
I remember the first song i learnt on acoustic guitar was Blackbird by The Beatles... such a beautiful song and so easy to play... Improves your picking technique as a beginner too!
