But why put it on the grass? I wouldn't put my crap acoustic on the grass, let alone a $220,000 instrument.

That's a fair price for that guitar if it is what it is.
  • I went to a guitar shop the other day and I talked to this guy and he asked me what I had and I told him about my Teal SG and he said to me that if I hold on to it for another 45 years (2051), it will be 50 years old and worth about 80 grand...is that legit?

  • Wait, $222,000 and the reserve is still not met? I'm sorry, I don't care if it was Jimi Hendrix's personal axe, that's too much money for a guitar. I can almost buy a house for that much money.

likely much better investment than a house though. you can't look at it as a guitar. just look at it as an investment element because, chances are, whoever ends up with it will look at it that way too.

it'll end up in a vault forever.

    if it's real.

I've seen that guitar up for auction before. The reserve was never met. I wonder what it's set at.

Agreed. Wouldn't you play the hell out of it though? I would.

That's a beautiful guitar, but how much better is it then say something at $2000? Probably not much...at least not 10-12x that much better...
