Yep I got a black one when they first came out two or three years ago. Still on the border if I'm going to turn it into a P bass set up or not. Had to do some fret filing when I first recieved it.

For some reason, my favorite inlays on most non Strats or Tele's are those small blocks. They look awesome on Gibsons/Epiphones like the ES 335's and Casinos and they look great on Basses. I know they used to do the black inlays on jazz basses in the 70's like the Geddy Lee bass but man that new Jaguar Bass is freaking hot. Congrats.
Let us know what all the switches do I haven't been able to play with one yet.
There's a selector active/passive. Next to it, two rolls for the tone. Below, 3 selectors for the mics and then the 2 classic knobs, for the volume and general tone
I had a jazz bass and this one's better. The fact that it's active gives more warmth to the sound

black block inlays on maple fretboards are beautiful.

yeah they look freaking awesome. Especially in smoky blues bars.
Totally agree. CBS era did a lot of bad for Fender for sure. But they gave us block inlays, and oversized head stocks, and that's just fantastic!
