yeah i tried it with my ebow and it worked..........do an A chord at the 12th fret and move the ebow up and down and it sounds exactly like it! i never used the ebow for shit like that before, eddie has inspired me once again!

It's a cool trick. Sin Ropas did it a few years back, and it took me months to figure out what it was.

Our band has covered WWS at a few of our gigs and I don't have an ebow but I just scrape the thin side of the pic up and down the strings, use a little feedback, alot of treble, it kinda works, not the same though, but until i get an ebow, it will do for now, lol

just in case you didn't know (a LOT of people have no clue what this is) Ed uses it on Wishlist and RVM as well,.. Mike used it on RVM on the album version too.

Yeah, during the interlude/jam, he's just hitting an A on the E string. Didn't realize Mike used one during the solo though.

i dunno if i've ever seen/heard him use it live but it's definetly on the Vs version..

just listen to that full mellow sound..

that and Stone's dreamy chords make that song. (and ed's words... of course.. ;) )

Everything makes that song. My all-time favorite song, ever, not just PJ, I'm talking ever. That riff, the chorus, the solo, the screaming. So cathartic. Gotten me through some rough times, thats for sure.

If I don't get to hear it at the two shows I'm going to this year, I'll be pissed! I went nuts last time I heard it live, it was the second song in, which was rare.

Yeah, I was shocked, which made me proceed to scream along to the words. Voice was shot for days afterwards, but a great show, despite the Bu$hleaguer thing at the end of that one.
  • hahah..

    that rocked.

    piss off the conservatives.

Bunch of idiot meatheads on Long Island had to ruin it by booing. Good stuff like Smile was on the setlist, but they killed the show early because of the reaction. Or so I've heard. Great show regardless. I still listen to the boot at least once every month or so.
