Anyone recommend a nice acoustic/ semi acoustic for around $500??

Have always been a fan of Takamine but a bit expensive.

Any thoughts please??

Check out my thread on the Epiphone Masterbilt Acoustic. Ian and Paco have some good info and Ian even refers specifically to the $500 price range.

I love my new Epiphone. I think it sounds great and they present some alternatives as well.

TAnglewood do very nice acoustics with solid tops for a fraction of the Gibson/MArtin price

I have a 1978 Guild D25 and I totally adore it. Check out Ebay, you can find some old American made Guilds there for $500-600. Truly excellent guitar for the money.

my first acoustic was a takamine eg531sc, still love it.

btw, takamine's are bruce springsteen's preferred acoustics:)
