jack casady signature bass

hi all,

I've been playing guitar for some years now, but I've always wanted to play bass too. So this summer I think I will buy one. Now I always have liked hollow body guitars very much, also the hollow body bass. I really like the sound of them.
I've been looking at the jack casady signature (it's a epiphone). Also at the broadkaster from gretsch, but that one is way too expensive.

I've read a lot of good review about it, but I still would like to know if there is somebody here that has one, or can tell me something more about this bass guitar.

Never played one to be honest. A few years ago Dearmond had some semi hollow body basses too. Those where descently priced, and played well. Might want to look in that direction.

I'm probably going to go after a Danelectro DC bass sometime soon

Alain used one on the QOTSA world tour, so my guess is that if they can stand up to a world tour, they must be pretty decent instruments.

But i don't think it's the same guitar. The potmeters are not exactly the same. But it's still a epiphone.

That's Troy, and I think that's Epiphone's version of the EB2. Al definitely used the JC though. We talked about it a bit because I have a thing for the old EB2's.
