Pedal question

Here's my story. I've been playing guitar for about three years now. Up until now, I haven't been that serious about it. All I would play were simple PJ songs. Within the last couple of months, I've started learning more and more of their material. I gained enough confidence to start playing some of Mike's solos, something I never even imagined pulling off. I'm telling you, practice and just applying myself has improved my playing so much.
Now the question. I want to look into some pedals but don't know shit. I want something that would sound like the majority of Mike's solos. I'm on a budget and am looking to spend about $100 or less. I'm thinking I should go with the original Crybaby. What do you guys think?

another pedal you may wanna pick up would be the MXR Phase 90 for phasing effects that can be heard on given to fly (although he used a phase 100 on that)....also on the ledbetter solo from the daughter cd single...as well as the bridge in WWS you can hear definate phase shifting.
Stone can be heard using a phaser after the solo in Nothing As it Seems, and even Insignifance
as well as a ton of other songs.
Both pedals are under $100...the phase 90 i believe is $79.99 and the crybaby can be had for about $65-70
get em both

jimi hendrix used the univibe also.
the prices i really dont know but i think it isnt to expensive good luck with that and let us know
much more useful than a phaser, especially for lead playing i think.

very true. since i play liek mccready, and love his tone, i have been influenced to buy similar product, but not identical. It really comes down to how well you actually play though, effects are a bonus. if you really want to spend a couple hundred bucks, lessons should be factored in. I have too many bad habits these days to go into lessons, but i can adapt and learn it to fit my style, but still, lessons over gear in the early days, i would go back and get lessons
