    Thanks to you too.

And rough 1st take recordings? Didn't need a lot of work to my ears. It's a deliberately unpolished sound. I say keep it that way, it's part of the 'charm'.

Well, we surely don´t want to overproduce it, but there are some little mistakes in there (ours and recording-wise) that could have been corrected with a 2nd take or a more careful approach. But yes we do like it raw... ;)

Nice! I really like the vocals. I do think the songs could benefit with a little variation, some changes of rythm. I think you have to do it when you're playing solo and you don't have any other instruments (like a harmonica) to give it some colour. But I do like it.

Btw, my band's guitarist has already posted our myspace website on this thread. Its http://www.myspace.com/thewage .

just wanted to bump this up cause we're getting a few separate threads for some myspace bands on here....if you post it in this...we do generally give everyone a fair listen cause we are musicians....and this way our M&G first page isn't just of different myspace links...

I hope I'm not turning into the M&G "mother" hahaha

    plug your bands here!

It's always cool to see the different genres that we musicians play when we all listen to mainly just PJ haha

    take care

I don't wear my influences on my sleeve anymore. Besides, too many great bands making great music which informs what I want to do. I stopped making music that I thought people wanted to hear, and started making music that I want to hear. Oddly enough, that's been the best decision I've ever made.

The clips are more on the electronica side of the sound of my new project. It's a genre I've always been fond of, even while listening to bands like PJ, SG, AIC, Tool, QOTSA, Eleven, Helmet, WWC, Isis, Zep, Floyd, Beatles, JHE, Candiria, etc. Guitars will be used just like any other instrument at my disposal, but not as the sole vehicle to create or drive the music.

Anyhoo...1-minute clips for all. Full songs later this year...maybe. :)

The songs up right now are my old stuff, but big things are happening as we speak. I've been working on my ned CD and hope to have it finished and out by mid-july. This one is full band and rocking, as opposed to the acoustic sound of the stuff up now.

Also, Celestial Nebula is very Sigur Ros, Craig Armstrong influenced. It's the only song like that I've done so far. Hope you enjoy.

-Man, I can't wait to finish the new stuff. I'm so excited about it, and I really want people to hear it.
    It's all about the music...

    MySpace exploits musicians, says Bragg
By Anthony Barnes, Arts and Media Correspondent
    Published: 11 June 2006

Billy Bragg has taken on Rupert Murdoch's MySpace.com website in a dispute about artists' rights, after he claimed it was exploiting musicians.

The singer, whose hits include "Sexuality" and "Levi Stubbs' Tears", has removed all his music from the online community - which is credited with making chart-topping band Arctic Monkeys a success - because he claims the small-print gives the site too much power over his work.

MySpace has agreed to revamp the rules to avoid confusion over a clause which says artists grant the site a "royalty-free, worldwide licence ... to use, copy, modify ... and distribute" any content. Thousands of bands have posted material on to MySpace, which Mr Murdoch's News Corp bought for £300m last year.

Bragg told The Independent on Sunday: "There are four words I never like to see together - 'royalty free worldwide licence'. The alarm bells start ringing.

"The rights you are giving to MySpace are above and beyond anything you would give to a record company ... You would never go to talk to a record company without a lawyer but there are lots of people on MySpace without one."
