Kustom Groove Bass 1200 Head and 410 Cab

I've had my eye on this head and cab for almost three months now and I've tested it out at my local music shop. I loved the sound I got and it basically confirmed my purchase. So I've been price checking and playing more on it in the store (with different basses too) just to make sure it's what I want. I've read reviews online and most if not all are positive. So the deal is just about sealed for me.

Then I talk to my friend, and he says I should go for something else. He says this without even hearing me play it. I'm pretty sure his claim is based on a personal bias towards Kustom (which he said sounded cheap).

Anyway, does anyone know if I'm making a mistake getting this? I don't think so, but maybe I'm not hearing something. I don't know. It just made me second guess, so if anybody can confirm it's a good buy or a bad buy, please inform me. Thanks.

    No experience at all with that head. It's all up to you. Hopefully you've tried different heads. I've been playing for 12 or 13 years, and have switched up my tone about 5,000 times. Each time thinking this is it.

    Yeah I've played numerous different heads. But the thing about this one is it was the only one that screamed, "BUY ME!" And of course this is illogical thinking, but the last bass I purchased also screamed, "BUY ME!" (among others that sounded great but didn't cling onto me). I have never had any regrets about the purchase, and also am not looking to upgrade or replace and don't see myself doing so later. So I figure it will most likely be the same for the cab and head.

    It just unsettles me that my friend would say something negative about it without hearing it first (to my knowledge). I guess I should research Kustom in general first...
