Its an interesting question, because ed still seems this way with his heroes, the uncle neils, bruces and petes of the world. and he seems to suggest music wasnt just important, but that it saved his life.

Talking daily about minute details of shows, boots, haircuts etc...

I participate in it as well, but dont you think, they think, its odd!

No, they wouldn't provide this medium if they didn't want us to discuss all things (within reason).
Appreciation is a wonderful thing: It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.... (Voltaire)

    No...

This is more than a fan club forum, its a movement to which we all belong. There are discussions and debates from things like art to politics. The fact is the band recognise that that have something like 500,000 10c members alone...not including other fans and followers. There's always the oddball who sells pillowcases with eddies face on it (WTF???) but all in all the pitt is the very essence of PJ - Freedom of speech.

...Eddie mentioned something about it last night when he pulled back the curtain to turn on the shower and found me sitting in his bathtub. He would have elaborated, I think, but those damn cops got there SO FAST...

Well I was at Albany 06 and went to the concert chronology to get the exact quote:

Ed comes back a few minutes later and talks about seeing the same people on every tour ("don't you people get laid?"), and how trying to decide what to play was difficult - some want to hear stuff they never play (the "freaks"), some want to hear the hits (the "normal" people). He mentions how when he was a teenager, normal was the worst thing you could be, so "here's to the freaks."

I don't think they care as long as it doesn't pry into their personal life. Well thats what I would feel if I was them.

Well, if we are obsessive it's all their damn fault.

Personally, I think the band would be more stoked if we actually spent our time and energy doing positive things. I think they're excited about CCFA benefits, the stuff for Surfrider, Wishlist and all the other stuff that fans do.

That's why I think they should scrap the posters all together and limit 10c sales. It makes everyone angry and causes so much animosity between fans.

Positive things? So, they also need to get rid of the message board. I'm approaching 1,000 posts! That is time wasted arguing/talking about THEM! LOL :D

But you know, I agree with you on the poster thing. It's created a monster among several fans. Some are just too damn obsessive and they get so vindictive about these damn posters. It's actually rather sad and pathetic -- I ventured to that expresso site.. HOLY COW!!! Never again lol

Yep, I think you got that right on all counts.

nose hairs!!! how much??? I'll paypal you the money right now!

    j/k!!!

seriously though - it's kind of them to give us a place to chat and meet fellow fans. They may think some of the shit we talk about is beyond weird...but it's the perfect place to hook up with a show buddy, trade items, find out news, etc. (Oh - and pass the time at work! :))
