Fed up with all the "strato/tele/LS" threads?
Too broke to get one?
Too in love with the noises/farts of your cheap guitar/bass/cymbals?
Join our club. All instruments welcome, triangles included (only if cheap ones)

For awhile at least -- yes, I'm influenced by what I see my fav artists play (and yes, for the SOUND). Ace Frehley / Jimmy Page hit me at an all too impressionable age -- so I play a Les Paul!
But more and more, I'm thinking I want to get a Telecaster -- I think I can just go telecaster and not TOTALLY jump ship/switch camps to the Strat!!! I kinda view the telelcaster as a foot in the door to Fender, hehehhe.
But boy, Eddie made that white strat sing during his recent tour....
Mmm, and Mike's YL strat, sigh....
must ... resist ... must ... stay ... loyal !

My favorite one right now is an old Guyatone late 50's art deco cheesy special with rocker switches and shiny chrome things.
Great sound and sometimes the switches work and sometimes they don't and the body cracked almost all the way through where the neck meets and I superglued it back together and it stuck to the floor when I did it and pulled it off the bricks and the paint came off the back.
And this for a slide guitar. Old Supro with the smelly smoking tube amp right in the case.

The Dano Baritones and 12 strings are very cool.
Univox Hiflyers are pretty neat as well.
