Changing tubes in Peavey Classic 30

My tubes are shot in my amp and I was just wondering how hard it is to change the tubes in a classic 30. Today i called the tech at the shop closest to me and he told me that the amp probably wouldnt need to be biased and it was easy to change the tubes yourself. The only problem is that i have zero experience working with tube amps. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions or tips on changing the tubes. It has 3 pre amp and 4 power tubes by the way.

Turn the amp off, unplug it, let teh tubes cool.
JIggle the old ones out, you don't need to turn or twist, but you do need to jiggle a bit. There is usually a plastic moulding on teh new tube to align it correctly. gently push/wiggle the new tube in.
I'm not sure if you will need a bias adjustment in that amp.
Not adjusting bias doesnot affect amp function too much, it can just shorten tube life a little. A good tech know whether it needs bias, and I'm sure someone here will know and tell you shortly.
OK, I did some research for you. Peavey Classic 30 is fixed bias, like a Mesa. You just need to specify the amp when you order new tubes, and a good supplier will send you correctly specifed tubes, which you just plug in.
You usuallu only need to do power tubes. Pre-amp tubes last for years, possibly decades.
Other than that. you need a quad of EL84's and 3 12AX7's like LL just said.
No big deal really. you could very gently turn the amp upside down to make them easier to install and remove.

and Lord Valve (also excellent information and service) He let me know of some issues the EI factory was having a few years ago.
