I've been playing Guaranteed from the tab posted here...
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/e/eddie_vedder/guaranteed_tab.htm

...but can't seem to get the rhythm down. Can anyone help me figure out the best way to count this out?

Thanks!
Cheers!

i had some trouble with this too. i used Windows Media Player to play the song...but I played it on the Slow setting...which allowed me to pick up the rhythm pretty easy. to do this, just open the song and right click on the play button and select Slow...or use Ctrl + Shift + S.

And no one sings me lullabyes
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a shot.

  • You can't go wrong, learning a few Travis picking patterns off by heart, and feeling really comfortable with them, before doing Guaranteed.

This isn't exactly what you want, but it'll certainly put beginners on the right path, anyway!:

Some bloke on Youtube, demonstrating Travis picking styles:
