Burstbucker (bridge) & P-94 (neck) in an Epi LP Custom

What do you guys think? I want the best of both worlds...or atleast as close as I can come without buying a new guitar like the LP Push Tone. Would it make sense to upgrade my Epi LP Custom with a Burstbucker bridge pickup and a P-94 for the neck pickup? Has anyone done this or something similar?
Cheers!

Sounds like a good idea. I'd personally go with their Seymour Duncan alternatives because they're about a third of the price, but if you can get a good deal on the Gibsons, go for it. Or, go for a pair of those new ugly-as-s*** but cool-as-f*** P-Rails. Someone's gotta try 'em. Might as well be you, I reckon.

i had a bfg with hb bridge and p90 neck. it's a perfect combination. your choice of low hum p94 is wise.
definitely go for it. burstbuckers can be had for a song on ebay, also the lespaulforum. so many guys there yank em.

I have a SG with a P94 in the neck and a 57 Classic Plus in the bridge, really like the sound on that one. Although, the P94 is hotter than the 57+.

i have a P94 in the neck of my SG as well. it doesn't quite have the snap of a real P90 but it's nice. it's missing a little bit of presence. lots of output.

I ordered a pair today! Should be here Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm not sure what I'm going to put them in yet. Either my LP Classic or an empty Tele Body that's looking for some use.
Wiring them should be fun! I want them to be P-90's, single coil, or humbucker in series or in parallel.

:D I'll have a beer before so my hand stays steady enough for this!:

Cool. Can't wait to hear your feedback once you are up and running! Good luck with the setup.

Thanks! I'll probably use a Les Paul Classic. Haha, I never liked the bridge 500t pickup in those. Too loud and brittle, but,
I predict that I can make the p-90 and single coil sound good, but when you hook up the p-rail humbuckers in series mode, they're 18,000 k which is POWERFUL. More than the Classic ones.
Push the button and smoke an amp! I'll figure it out though.

    I got'm!

Tomorrow my push pull pots come in and I'm going use 4 push pull pots for the most complicated guitar I can figure out! I'll wire them to a Jimmy Page setup then play around and see what sounds good.

Even if I screw that wiring up, SOMETHING'S gotta sound good on it! :D
