What are your top 3 "must-have" effects pedals?

Overdrive?
Chorus?
Distortion?
Compression/Sustain?
Wah?
Etc.
Cheers!

I don't really think there is a must have pedal that fits everyone. Depends entirely on the individual's style.

Personally I'd delay, tremolo and wah, but that's just me. I prefer using my amps overdrive than using distortion pedals.

I find that I can't really perform well at all without the Talent Boost.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

it's evident that i haven't been able to find one of these. custom made???

For me it would be 2 overdrives and a wah, or an overdrive, wah and delay

Great pedal! Make sure you get one with the "Suck Button" for when it all goes wrong! :D

Lately it's been delays. I went to acoustic and electric and small tube amp and no pedals for a while, but now I'm playing with a bunch of different people and my Roland Space Echo and Vaughn modded Tube Screamer are in the loop.

I just got a "Truly Beautiful Disaster" which may be a must have in one group I've been writing with. Amazingly weird and cool effect with a feedback loop which sounds great with a delay.

for overdrive.. either a Butler Tube Driver or a LovePedal Eternity

for distortion.. Pete Cornish G2 (expensive but worth it)

    for compression.. Keeley compressor

If I had to drop down to three, it would be my Keeley Baked Tubescreamer, MXR Phase 90, and the new Boss DD-7. I've been eyeballing the new Korg tuner pedal, as I need to replace my Korg tuner that *isn't* a pedal on my pedalboard... So if you count tuner, I think I may end up replacing delay with one of those. Being in tune is the most important, so says Kurt Cobain... (riiiiight)
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

That's a good question and one I have too. I've been planning to get a TS-9 so I am curious if the Keeley modded version is really that much better?
    Cheers!

YES, to both (all Keeley MODs sound better than the stock models)!
