What do you recommend for someone who is getting back into the band?

I feel the energy again, as has been repeated on various threads. Took a break from almost every band other than indie bands for the last year and a half. Whats a good way to ease back into the band?
What album is sure to get me pumped and get my mindblown, and make me believe in the band.
I never gave up on them, I just moved on to new avenues. Now I want to listen to them again

That should really get you craving some PJ.
If I opened it now would you not understand?
As funny as it feels for me to say this, I'd highly recomend anyone that has "gone astray" to pick up Rearview Mirror (the greatest hits album) and Lost Dogs (the B-sides album). The 2nd disc of RVM is quite simply mixed PERFECTLY. I throw it in everyonce in awhile even though I have all those songs on the studio albums, just beause they did such a good job of selecting the order of the songs on it.
Lost Dogs has some VERY STRONG songs on it, so much so that I immediately added some of them to my "master pearl jam playlist" on my iPod. It's astounding to me that MANY of these songs didn't get on their respective albums, because they should have.
That's a start anyway. There's LOTS of debate as to how good the later PJ albums (Binaural, Riot Act, Self Titled) are, but if you're a real fan that can appreciate Yield just as much or more then Ten or Vs, you'll find something on the later albums worth listening to anyway.

I Do not know why people are down on it. I believe it is a Great album. It's in my top three along with VITOLOGY & NO CODE
THIS is the best idea yet.. It's what I was gonna suggest, cause every single album has it's own character, and "life aspect" If ya play all 8 in order ya sorta get to see how things have changed in life, not just your own, but lyrically and musically you can see how the band has grown and changed too.. I love doing this, and welcome back, glad ya came to yer senses and returned..:-)
