anyone in Norfolk, VA area want to start a band?

Hey,

28 year old guitarist here looking to start a band in the Hampton Roads area. My main influences are Hendrix, Zeppelin, Funkadelic, RHCP, Jane's Addiction, and, of course, PJ. I'm looking to start a band focusing on hard rocking originals with blues, funk, jazz, and maybe even hip hop influences. I have a full time job, so it would be mostly for fun at first, although I definitely want to play out. Give me a holler on this thread if you're interested.

    Sorry... i make the drive from Greenville, NC to Philly a lot and every time i see signs for Norfolk on i-95 i start singing Promised Land by Chuck Berry. Bad habit.

    I Live in Newport News and am just getting started with drums.. ( really just getting started ) actually I havent even finished paying for my set but in 2 weeks it'll be in.. I'd more then happy to jam once I get it! PM for my number!

    No offense binauralman, but I'm looking for people who've been playing a little while. I've been playing for about 14 years and I'm hoping to find people with pretty good chops. The drummer in my last band was like, Bonham good. Still, once you get up and running, if you still want to jam just for fun sometime, I'd be down. What do you listen to besides Pearl Jam?

    Well I have been playing bass for about.. 6 years. So I do have some skill there but I'm really only looking to jam, no serious band stuff yet. Anyways, let me know ;)!
