I suppose today I get to join the Traynor Club since I got my YCV40. Who else out there has a traynor, keeponrockin and HailHail? Is that it?

  • Ya I have one, YCV80Q, so a 410 of what DF has. I'm looking at possibly getting a 212 cab to go underneath it, getting the best of both worlds!
Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
  • Almost a year and a half later, and still is one of my greatest purchases.

Did you get the WR or no? If not, switch the speaker with a vintage 30 :D

I'm pretty sure that it's a Celestion Red Label Seventy 80. I think I'll give it a try first and maybe in a few months if I want a new sound, I'll try swapping out the speaker.

Do you guys use JJ tubes?

I use JJ tubes. I considered a speaker swap with Webers, but all in all, the sound I get doesn't bother me, and the audience sure as hell can't tell the difference between seventy80s and Webers.

If I do anything, it's getting a smaller tube combo.
  • Any of you Traynor boys have sound clips of u playing thru one? I'm in the market for an amp and a YCV40 looks perfect. I've never been able to find one to test it out tho
