    I play Black and Long Road on the piano... I more do the chording so I can sing... but the ditties in Black are likely a short little run based around an E (two above whatever C you are playing)... just mess around with it, you can figure it out.

    (Great advice I know, but that is how I do it... :) )

  • Hi,

    These are from memory (I don't have my piano on me at the moment):

    CODE:
    * Octaves start at A.
    * "2" denotes the starting octave - go up/down as necessary. This is not necessarily the same octave in each song.

    "Black"
    Riff at end ("do-do-do do do-do-doo") is B2-C2-D2 C2 B2-C2-B2.

    "Off he goes"
    The main riff is F2-C3-F3-E3-A3 [Am]

    "Do the evolution"
    D2 F2-D2-F2-G2-Bb3

    "Immortality" :
    INTRO: (play pattern four times)
    C2 E2 G2 E3 D3 G2 E1 (sustain last note)
    VERSE:
    Chords: Em (E B D) Dsus2 (D E A) [repeatedly: 4 times each verse, I think]
    On every second (fourth, etc.) play this little "guitar hammer-on" over the Em: B2-D3-B2 G2 E2

    Any other requests?

    Neil,

    thank you... very cool. You obviously have a better technical grasp of the piano than I do... I tend to play piano and guitar by feeling... knowing the bare basics and moving out from there.

    I am going to have to play Immortality for sure.
