Anyone played one of these yet or tried it out? Read any reviews? Heard some things?
I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too.

i just bought a new AC15 that i'm pretty happy with except for the reverb. however, the ac30s have more control over the verb.

can't comment on reliability or anything yet but happy with the sound and value.
  • Bought my son the 50 and all I know is that it is just loud enough to hear over my drumming:D

yeah, if it's solid state then it should still get over your drums but not as well as 50 watts tube...50 watts tube you just set it at about a volume a 3 or 4 and its over the drums :)

Oh yeah. I only ask because my friend is looking to get a first amp, most likely a Vox Valvetronix and I was just curious how many amps it needed to compete with other amps and whatnot.

I have played Valvetronix and just thing they struggle for a good tone.

The AC30's on the otherhand are fucking brilliant...I played a James Trussart, Gibson LP Standard, and a Gretsch White Falcon through it

all gave very amazing tones in their own rights.

However, the AC30 Head and Cabinet that is "limited edition" sounds like absolute crap with the same guitars.

    Hope that helps

It is the SS with tubes.

    ADVT50 or something.

I don't know off hand. I know it is not full tube, though.

Thanks, I know what you're talking about, they have like one tube in them for something.
